We spent a few nights at Goolabri Estate Hipcamp, just outside Canberra, as part of our Epic Winter Road Trip.
The campsite sits on the grounds of an old golf course, complete with lakeside views and a rotunda nearby. Our first nights were marked by beautiful clear skies and frosty mornings, with the thermometer dropping to -2°C.
In between, we explored Canberra – visiting local markets, wandering across bridges, and trying a few beers at BentSpoke Brewing.
But by our last night, the weather turned. Heavy rain rolled in, the annex flooded, and we had to pack up in the mud and drizzle the next morning. Luckily, our next stop was a caravan park where we could dry out and recharge.
