Apple Maps decided we needed the “scenic” dirt-road detour on our way from Bateman’s Bay to Cooma, and it delivered!
We ended up at a HipCamp near Jindabyne, right on top of the hill – stunning views but completely exposed to wind, rain and freezing temperatures. From layering up for snow at the ski fields, to building a lopsided snowman, to rigging up a makeshift kitchen shelter so we could cook devilled snags, this stop had it all. Oh, and getting the teardrop down a steep, slippery driveway was… interesting.
Join us as we share the highs, the cold lows, and the frosty beauty of camping in the Snowy Mountains with Tia the Tucana teardrop trailer.
